Glowing Eyes in the Bushes

These spooky eyes are reminiscent of every Scooby Doo episode ever made, and they’re so easy to make. Cut the eye shapes out of cardboard tubes then place a plastic glow stick inside the tube. Then tuck a few sets of eyes in bushes around your front walkway to give the trick-or-treaters a little fright.

This is one your kids can enjoy almost as much as the pumpkin carving.glowing eyes in bushes

Tools and Materials
To make a bunch of spooky eyes, you’ll need: 30 to 40 paper towel tubes; spooky eyes shapes (have some fun with it); a utility knife; a permanent marker; black spray paint; 30 to 40 6-inch glow sticks; scissors; and baker’s twine or string.glowing eyes in bushes 1

Draw some spooky eyes onto your tubes and then cut them out with a utility knife.  Then, in a well-ventilated area, spray all the tubes with black paint. Let dry fully.glowing eyes in bushes 2

Poke a hole in each end of the tube, on the top. Run a piece of string through the holes so you can hang the tube inside the bushes. On Halloween night, crack and shake a glow stick, place it inside the tube then find the perfect spot to hang it.glowing eyes in bushes 3
